Welcome to our book study! In this 8-week online course, you will read The Distance Learning Playbook by Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey, and John Hattie; and learn about preparing “for distance learning with purpose and intent--using what works best to accelerate students’ learning.” In this book, the authors apply “the wisdom and evidence of Visible Learning research to demonstrate what really works with distance learning.” Topics include teacher-student relationships, teacher credibility and clarity, instructional design, assessments, and grading.
This class consists of 8 one-week cycles. There is a tab at the top of the blog for each week of the class. I will send you reminder emails throughout the course with links to the appropriate page, but you are welcome to visit these pages ahead of time and work ahead if you'd like.
